GLCS Student Council

• GLCS Student Council •

Here is the Gospel Light Christian School Student Council for the 2011-2012 school year! These are some GREAT young people. I’m not sure how it works at most high schools, but I know from first-hand experience that student council at GLCS is a BIG responsibility that takes tons of work and dedication. Student Council is voted in by their fellow students, as well as the faculty and staff at GLCS.

They are responsible for planning all of the student activities throughout the year such as spirit days, festivals, fundraisers and all kinds of things. There is no telling just how much money has been raised for GLCS over the years of Student Council volunteers! These guys [and gals:p] are AWESOME! Gospel Light is one lucky place!

Mr. Chandler – Advisor

Although Student Council does a TON of work, they would get nowhere without their advisor and friend, Mr. Jeremy Chandler. Mr. Chandler is one of a kind. He has to be one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever met. He has been with GLCS for many years as a teacher, but he doesn’t just leave at 2:50 when school lets out – he stays and starts his “secondary job.” This is something that he volunteers! He heads up the school’s yearbook, the drama department, student council and much more! There are many students that owe him more than they will ever be able to repay! He’s an AWESOME guy!
