What Love Is
Love is a miracle, sweet as can be,
That will always remain a complete mystery.
For though it is something that’s centuries old,
It cannot be purchased for silver or gold.
But instead must be given of one’s own free will,
And received with no promises it must fulfil.
And once it’s exchanged in this time-honoured way,
There’s nothing that love cannot manage to say.
No problems too great and no problems too small,
For love, like a miracle, conquers them all.
And leaves in their place such a feeling of peace,
That joy, just like love, cannot help but increase!
Brittany loves her man, Cody. You can hear it in her voice when she calls him by name. *Slight country accent and little bit of twang, but just right.* I’m sure that Brittany could spend all day telling why she loves Cody, but there’s one specific reason that he is extra special to her…
Just a few short months ago Brittany’s dad, Mark, was suddenly taken from his family and friends. They had no idea that such a healthy, young man would be snatched away so quickly. Brittany, along with her brothers and sisters, loved her Daddy – a LOT. It was while walking the streets of downtown Winston Salem that Brittany told me how much her Daddy loved and respected Cody. That simple, yet comforting, fact is something that Brittany will cherish throughout her and Cody’s marriage. Little did her Daddy know how much those very words would one day mean!
Now don’t get me wrong, Cody sure does love Brittany too. It’s in his eyes when he’s looking into hers. It’s in his smile when she laughs. He’s “eat up with it!”
