2011 in Review

2011 in Review

If exactly one year ago someone had told me that Tickle Photography would have become what it is today, I would not have believed them – honestly! My photography began as a hobby and dream that I thought would take years upon years to develop, but through the support of some AMAZING people and with God’s blessings, Tickle Photography had an INCREDIBLE first year! I’ve been able to start my own business and invest in some wonderful equipment that aids me in capturing my visions and harnesing my creativity. Words truly cannot express how much this all means to me. I want to take this time to personally thank each and every person that has had a part in my 2011 year! From the clients that hired me to preserve their memories, to the people that offered encouraging words and shared their love for my work. Without ALL of you, this past year truly would have been impossible! Thank you so much for all that you’ve done! I look forward to working with you again in 2012 and watching how you and your families grow together!

Here’s a quick review of the 2011 year here at Tickle Photography. I’ve been able to meet some wonderful people and capture some priceless memories that will never be forgotten! I hope you enjoy taking a look at the past year:)

Teacher’s In Love: Brandy’s Bridals

Brandy’s Bridals

There’s just something about a wedding dress. It brings out tons of emotions for women! I’m a guy, so I cannot truly grasp just how special THE DRESS is, but I know for sure that it’s a BIG deal! I love bridal sessions!

Here’s the most amazing thing about being a wedding photographer: I get to see stuff that everyone else has to wait to see! It’s like I have a VIP pass – and I LOVE it! I get to see the bride in THE DRESS before most anyone else, I get to see the bride and groom all dressed up on their wedding day before they even see eachother and I get to see all of the pictures before ANYONE else does! It’s such an amazing honor! I am so humbled that someone would choose to let me have that opportunity!

Here’s another thing too – at weddings, when the photographer speaks, most everyone listens! It’s like a camera has magic powers! I can walk up to the person with the meanest look on their face and start talking, what do they do? Start smiling:)

Really though, Brandy and I had a great time shooting her bridal portraits! We talked about wedding details, and her groom-to-be: TJ. [Pretty sure she can’t say his name without smiling!] It was a ton of fun!

Not gonna lie – this shot of Brandy by the staircase… It’s one of my favorites:)

Brydie Mae {Newborn}

Brydie Mae

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with Little Miss Brydie Mae, her mom and her grandma. She had only been home from the hospital a short time before our shoot:) What an honor to be her very first photographer!

Here’s something that makes me LOVE being a photographer – meeting some amazing people! I mean, I love photography all by itself – but making friends with such good people is definitely a PLUS! This was my first newborn session, but I’d say that it was a success:)
